Hi all,

I have an LG RH1999H DVD recorder which plays and records DVD's OK.

However, I'm having problems with the Hard Drive function. I can
record programs from Foxtel onto the hard drive fine, but I have never
been able to transfer the contents (dub) from the hard drive to a
blank DVD.

All I am given when hightlighting the HDD recording are three options.
"Play" "Delete" and "Edit"

According to the handbook there should be a dubbing facility.

I'm wondering if this isn't available due to copy protection on Foxtel
Perhaps those who have this recorder may be able to assist me.

drag the video onto another machine and see which format it is in , it

That's something I'm unable to do - drag it onto another machine.

Clicking on 'Display" shows the HDD video recorded as an AVI.

The LG records on the disk I use which is a DVD-R.

If you are able to enable the correct share then a copy might be
possible , or does it drop onto a usb stick
I expect when playing the disk on another machine some decryption will
be in order as it is a foxtel encrypted file in effect
