Just don't get suckered in to those $80 - $150 ones in the stores...

I got all mine from 'Catch of the Day' when they were on there, 4 x 1.5m and
4 x 3m, about $80 in total I think, just shop around online.
The have some on there at the moment actually

I am very happy with my $5 HDMI cables. The signal, being digital, either gets through or
it doesn't.

Lol, don't listen to this bullshit! These sales scammers will ALWAYS try to
sell you these overpriced cables, such a rip off but unfortunately some poor
unsuspecting folks do fool for the hype.
I was trying to find a link from a Canadian current affairs show that did
some great comparisons but gave up after 2 minutes...the following will have
to do:

Bullshit. The ones and zeros get through or they don't work. It's
digital. If you are paying more than 10 bucks you are being ripped off.

HDMI is a digital transfer medium, so it doesn't suffer the same
connection/distance losses as an analog cable would. Hence the cheapest
cable should work reasonably decently, as long as the connection is solid.

If there is some minor scrambling of the digital signal on the physical
wires in the cable, there's some sort of parity/error checking built
into the HDMI protocol so that data can be
recovered/guessed/re-requested from the source and it'll all be so fast
that you're unlikely to notice anything visually.

If you're spending more than $15 on a short HDMI cable, you're getting
ripped off.

In double blind tests? I seriously doubt it.
