HSU Subwoofers-anyone getting one of hteir new models that are coming out ?

Hi,
I've been reading on a few sites that HSU is coming out with some new subs
and I was wondering who was planning on getting one, and what model they are
choosing ?

I have a HSU VTF-2 working with my VAF DC-X, DC-6, DC-7's
and i'm very happy with it.

I was looking at either another VTF-2, or one of the newer models to go in
another room.
they even have a new 6.1 satellites + sub system

eg STF-1, STF-2, STF-3, or VTF-1, VTF-2, VTF-3

they will be selling them for only US$799 factory direct.

If it seems like a rip off it may be better to get together and buy
direct because of the low shipping rates for orders over 155lbs, this

each at about AU$1,500 if you do the maths: $799 x2 +$225
shipping(90lbs x2)= $1823 US
Then add GST & Import Duty +20% = $2187 US or about $3000 AU

Anyway just a thought, maybe we should look into it further when then
prices come out.

Before you do that, talk to Colin at Weststate A/V, I'm sure he'll give you
guys a competitive price, plus his customer service is second to none (I
bought my VTF-2 off him a couple of years ago) so you won't have any
warranty issues.

** I found that 'Imports' are marked up too much.
I was after a REL Quake sub, was quoted $1399 from the importer in Melb.
this is a sub that sells for £300 in uk.
I pointed this out, was told that warranty wouldn't apply if I imported one
!
